Pom-Pom Workshop, December 2019
In December of 2019 I was given the chance to lead a pom-pom workshop for 20-some odd Anthro customers, and guide them through the process to make a fun holiday garland for their space! I led them through the materials, process, and assisted as the event went on and in set up & take down.
I was able to help make the individual tassels, poms and loops for each llama’s fur, saddles, bridles, and presents. Also helped to decorate the trees around the llamas and rest of the store, and flocked the areas with snow to finish. Nov./Dec. 2019
My first major project with Display after coming back to Anthro! I assisted in dying each blanket for the backdrop, making most of the poms and stitches with roving and yarn, and helped assemble the final window production with our Senior DC. This was the first display project I was involved in every aspect of, from planning, to production, to execution, and revision. Oct./Nov. 2019
Built, cut, decorated, and affixed these gift boxes and wrapped logo letters for a festive touch above cash wrap, Dec. 2019
For this display, I hand treated each individual bell with hot wax to create texture, sprayed each assembled bell with gold finish, attached mistletoe sprigs to each top, and helped install in a wave above our dining nook. Nov./Dec. 2019
(Disclaimer, not my image) Helped install these swags of disc garland and pom-pom strands, and treat the metal shapes for an antique finish. Nov. 2019
(Again, not my image) I assembled this backdrop of bags, and helped our events team set up supplies, space and snacks for Claire Desjardins painting event at our store in Feb. 2019
After making the supply run for this project, I constructed, finished, painted and set these moody mannequin risers for our winter BHLDN makeover. January 2020

exploration: abstract painting
A brief stint in abstract obsession lead to the making of this series of prints and canvas paintings, each made from different acrylic washes and paint, oil pastel crayons, and gold leaf. While I never took a formal painting class in my four years of college, I enjoy practicing different methods and techniques in the practice.

All were courses taken towards my Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art. Other courses taken include beginning woodshop, figure drawing, art history, and typography.

“Shining Arm/or”
For my first assignment in sewing, we were challenged to create a wearable piece inspired by “inherent movement”. I chose to highlight my personal experience of a slight tremor in my right hand when at rest, and play with reflective light using tinsel and other metallic elements to create a piece with reminiscence of armor. Each tinsel strand was individually sewn to a handmade tulle sleeve, and the shoulder piece was hand crafted and affixed with metallic discs and chains below.
